Earlier this month, I switched from VS Code + Copilot to Cursor. I switched back after the trial just to see if I would miss any of the functionality. I guess it’s time to buy another AI tool.

It’s been helpful for writing documentation, but the experience with coding is inconsistent. I’ve also noticed that it often fails when trying to insert text. It’s still better than having to go through several prompts back and forth, for coding, I think I prefer something like Copilot or Cursor.

Copilot writing commit messages works about 80% of the time, but it’s still pretty cool.

I'm not sure if it's because the project relies heavily on third-party APIs/SDKs, but Copilot quickly recognized patterns and wrote a significant portion of the code for me, requiring only minor corrections. #ai #webdev
